Of the 50 candidate poems, the attachment contains 20 with the most speculative strength. Though only member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association can nominate a poem for the Rhysling Award representing the best speculative* work published in the preceding year, anyone can read and enjoy them.
* Speculative includes, but is not limited to, science fiction, fantasy, horror, surrealism, dystopia, steam punk, and a plethora of others. Being speculative does not preclude literary quality.
