Writing Prompts

Unblocking “writer’s block” is often achieved by a prompt that one might resonate with. I will post some of the prompts I have received myself.

(Please be aware that if you post your poetry here that most editors will consider it already published. A secure workshop is needed to preserve First Publication Rights that publishers will seek). You would find this on a professional teaching and workshop site, such as To Write Well, where I serve on the faculty. You may also post your work on any number of online writers’ group, which requires free enrollment, such as Francis Coppola’s Virtual Studio, American Zoetrope, to retain some privacy, and where I also have a poetry office.)
